Please note that from 24 May 2021, only the Fluorescent Antibody Virus Neutralisation (FAVN) test and Rapid Fluorescent Focus Inhibition Test (RFFIT) will be considered as valid rabies serological tests for the import of dogs and cats into Singapore. The Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) will cease to accept the Rabies Enzyme-linked Immunoassay (ELISA) test as a valid rabies serological test in accordance with recommendations by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE). All applications to reserve a quarantine space will be required to upload valid test reports of rabies serology tests done using FAVN or RFFIT only. This applies to new or pending applications only. Existing reservations that have been approved will not be required to re-submit rabies serology test results. Reservation of Quarantine Space
Please be informed that booking of quarantine space is on a first come first served basis. As such, you are advised to submit an application at least 3 months in advance. The facility may get fully booked during peak season in the months of May to January. Our system will indicate the nearest available dates from your preferred date of arrival. Do book in advance to avoid disappointments. Please note that only applications with complete documents will be processed, failing which the quarantine space is not guaranteed.
